To schedule an in-person or phone consultation, please complete the following steps:

  • Download and complete the appropriate forms (see below)
  • Return the forms via email to consult@pactadopt.org or via fax to
    (510) 243-9970
  • To send your forms by mail, visit Contact Pact for our mailing address

Once your forms and fee payment have been received, Pact staff will contact you to schedule an appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at consult@pactadopt.org or (510) 243-9460.

Deciding To Adopt Consultation:

Is adoption right for your family? This 75 minute consultation to help you decide if adoption is something that you want to pursue, not specifically focused on Pact's placement services.

The consultation fee is $250 for a 75 minute session

Pre-Placement Consultation:

Required two-hour consultations, either face-to-face or by phone, with all prospective parents who wish to apply to adopt with Pact. Those preparing to adopt transracially must first complete BCAC consultation (see below).
Pre-Placement Consultation:
The consultation fee is $350 for a 1 1/2 to 2 hour session

Transracial/Transnational Consultation (Building Community Across Cultures):

BCAC - Building Community Across Cultures

Required consultations for pre-adoptive parents considering transracial adoption through Pact. If you're considering transracial adoption through pact, please use the "Pact Applicant" forms, everyone else use the other two forms.

Transracial/Transnational (Building Community Across Cultures) Consultations:
Includes 4 hours of consultations and/or check in time with Pact staff as well as exercises and homework to help you better understand racial dynamics and become the best parent for a child of color that you can be.
$500.00

Already Doing It - How We Can Do Better?

For those who want to explore and improve their parenting strategies as transracial/transnational/ transcultural parents.
BCAC - We Are Already Doing It - How Can We Do Better?
This consultation will help you assess the cultural diversity in your family and community life.
$500.00

Fees: Individual consultations: $120/hour, Flat rate package: $500 for 5 hours to be used at your own pace.
