An adoptive mother with her adopted child

Each month Pact offers at least one educational program specifically designed for adoptive families. We also offer an annual all-day conference called Spring Training in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as our Annual Family Camp for a week of education and support for adoptive families.

Check out the topics below If you are interested in participating in one of our Workshops or Webinars.

Visit our Events page to see when and where each workshop is being offered and get information about featured speakers.

We also have programs for specific constituencies, including parents of color, LGBT parents, parents of teens, and transracial adopters (see Support for more information).

If you are interested in bringing Pact in to speak to your group, check out Director Beth Hall’s information page for Speaking Engagements.

Workshops & Webinars

Workshops

Pact offers in person workshops beyond our yearly Family Camp and CAC conference described above in both Northern California and Southern California several times each year. Generally these workshops include programing for adults on the intersections of adoption, race and family as well as programing for youth that includes opportunities for adopted children (and their siblings) to interact with mentors of color, many of whom were adopted and/or fostered themselves in groups that are fun and also educational. To learn more about current offerings check out our event calendars; current offerings are available on our regional programing pages as well.

Educational Workshops

Webinar Offerings

Webinars on topics related to adoption, parenting and race are offered each month. Below you can find our most current listings – those that have already occurred can still be purchased and recordings as well as handouts will be emailed to you once you have registered. Pact offers a 65% discount to members to ensure that education is accessible to all who are looking to learn.
