Pact, An Adoption Alliance Ask a Question

Life can be complicated, challenging, and wonderful in its unexpected discoveries. So, too, can adoption. When responding to adoption's sometimes tricky and unfamiliar terrain, it's always useful - though it may be difficult - to keep our minds and hearts open to new perspectives and insights. Though each life is unique, others have faced similar challenges, and we can benefit from the stories of those who have gone before us or who walk alongside us. In addressing issues of adoption and race, we at Pact strive to inspire and be inspired by others in the community touched by adoption and race, to foster honesty and authenticity, to rise to challenges that encourage new action, and to contribute to community by facilitating relationships among all those who can offer wisdom and accept new notions.

In this spirit, we have a regular column in our newsletter, Pact Point of View (free with membership) called Ask Pact, that serves as our contribution to the communal wealth by answering questions from others, whether they be triad members, Pact members, or others devoted to the exploration of these issues. Please look through our list of archived responses to see if the answer to your question is in the list. If not, Pact invites you to ask questions regarding adoption, the Pact process, race or parenting. You can usually expect a response within three days of sending your email. We look forward to hearing from you.
