Pact, An Adoption Alliance What Do I Need To Know About Placement?

At Pact, we believe that:
  • Your baby will be our client. "What's best for the baby?" comes first for us.
  • You need to know all your options. If you like, we will help you consider ways you could keep your baby.
  • Entrusting a child to another family is hard. No one can be sure in advance how they will feel. Grieving is part of the work.
  • Being offered a range of families will give you greater choice and control.
  • How you handle the process will shape the ongoing relationships you create.
  • Learning understanding, compassion, and respect for the adoptive parents takes time. They must learn the same for you.
  • We never decide for you or assume we know what you want. Will a waiting Pact family meet your needs? You will be the one to say.

If you like our ideas, complete and return the online forms so we can get to know you better; if you prefer, you can print them out and mail them in to us, or you can email us to request that we mail you a complete packet of necessary forms. At Pact, there are no right or wrong answers. You are in control. We will be able to help you if you want us to. This is a difficult time - please be kind to yourself. We will be glad to help.
