adopted people attending pact family adoption camp Too often in the adoption field, the adoptee perspective is subordinated to that of the adoptive parent. Pact believes that adult adoptees are the truest experts on their own experience. We welcome adoptee voices and support them as part of our mission. Topics include lifelong issues, search and reunion, parenting, birth parent relationships, loss, and adoption identity.

Pact offers support for adopted tweens and teens of color, and their non-adopted siblings, and we have a well-developed program for adopted children and youth of all ages at our nationally acclaimed Pact Family Camp, which is also attended by many adult adoptees. We particularly invited adopted adults to get involved with our programs as speakers and mentors. Become a member of Pact to take full advantage of our many resources and to receive our newsletter, Pact's Point of View, which includes many articles and essays by adopted adults. Pact members receive a discount at our online bookstore, which features great reads carefully selected for parents and youth, including many titles written by adopted people. While most of Pact's services and programs focus on adoptees under 18 years of age, we do strive to connect adult adoptees with blogs and other online resources that will be useful to them.
