International adoption, also referred to as inter-country adoption or transnational adoption, means a child who is born in one country is adopted by a family from another country. Every child who is adopted internationally deserves to take pride in the development of a dual identity and multicultural or multiracial perspective on life. Articles include personal stories of international adoption from birth parents and adoptive parents as well as adoptees, along with an exploration of relevant parenting strategies, and legal, political, transracial, and transcultural issues.
