Children and families impacted by adoption face unknowns that relate to medical history and genetic tendencies. Medical issues ranging from genetically linked predispositions to prenatal exposures to learning disabilities arise in children whether they are anticipated or not. Parents and adults need advice and information in order to best serve children’s needs. Mental health and physical health issues are addressed.
