Northern California Youth Clubs
Pact's Tween, In-Be-Tween, Teen-ish and Teens Clubs
Pact Clubs for 10-18 year-old adopted youth of color and their siblings are divided into four age groups called Tween, In-Be-Tween, Teen-ish and Teens . The Clubs focus on both social interactions among the youth and a designed a curriculum tailored to adopted and fostered youth of African American, African, Latino, Asian and Native American descent to explore their feelings and experiences related to adoption, race, family and identity. Monthly meetings are held during the school year and include mentoring sessions, facilitated discussions about race, being adopted and identity, a few fieldtrips and offsite activities as well as social activities and projects where youth are given the opportunity to mentor younger members of the Pact community. Our staff is comprised of adopted adults, foster alum and other adults of color who as trained allies are all excited to offer support and guidance to the youth.
Everyone will be charged a sliding scale rate for registration based on income (note for Pact members there is a discount). If your child is placed in the Teen Club you will charged a second time to cover the cost difference between that club and the others.
Please choose carefully when registering for Pact events. Pact is not in a position to refund workshop or event registration fees.
