Outside of home, children spend more time at school than anywhere else, in an environment that is not always responsive to adopted children of color and their families.  How can you get support to address adoption-related and race-related issues, while at the same time trying to educate your child’s teachers? We will also address virtual learning in the age of the pandemic and developing a real-life strategy for navigating a system that was not designed to meet the needs of most children.

We will help parents identify strategies to support adopted children of color in the face of school structures that are challenging and not always sensitive to their needs.
